Thomas’s Teachers Run for CAIRN
A group of 25 teachers across the four Thomas’s London Day Schools are running the 5K race around Regents Park on May 10th and raising funds for CAIRN. The money raised will go towards funding a CAIRN Library in their supported CAIRN Schools in Western Nepal. These libraries will be equipped with up to 3,000 Nepali and English books.
Although all the teachers taking part are extremely fit, some of the teachers’ fitness was further extended as they trekked across Nepal during April. Their employer, Thomas’s London Day Schools, has very kindly donated the use of the children’s school bus to transport the teachers to Regents Park.
The competitive spirits will be running high amongst the various Thomas’s school teams to see which team performs the best.
Race Update
The sun shone for our teachers as they arrived to run the 5k race. Tanya Nathan from Battersea was the first teacher to cross the finishing line with a superb time of 15 minutes and 40 seconds, but all the teachers completed the race in great time. Their great sporting efforts helped to raise a staggering £3,961 from the race.
Thank you to the following teachers for helping to raise this amazing amount.
