Fulham Casino Night
Over 200 parents and teachers from Thomas's Fulham put on their 'smokin' outfits to try their luck and raise funds for the charity at the CAIRN Casino Night. The event was master minded by the effervescent committee led by Annabel Novis and consisting of Pip Brown, Serena Blackburn and Gabrielle Shaw.
Through their chic transformations, the committee helped to transport the school to the roulette tables of Monte Carlo. As the gambling kicked off, parents vied to win some amazing table prizes including fish pedicures, magnum of champagne and pilates classes. The CAIRN bank had sneakily hidden two golden tickets within the fun money, one of which was won by Dominic Griffiths. Faced with the difficult decision of whether to choose a meal for two for his wife or a signed Chelsea T-shirt for his daughter, after much deliberation Dominic opted for the safer option.
With the gambling in full flow, the stakes got higher and higher, as parents set their sights on winning the coveted prize for the highest amount of chips won during the evening. The prize of a beautiful basket of Vanity Fair goodies went to a very happy and proud parent. Marco the magician spread his sparkle across the room as he perplexed guests with his mind boggling card tricks.
Parents enjoyed the excellent quality wine supplied by wine experts Charles Lea of Lea and Sandemann and generously donated Nepalese beer by Khukuri, whilst nibbling on some of the most delicious canapés.
Funds were raised through a silent auction, which ran during the course of the previous week. Some of the most amazing donated prizes included a Style School Session by Kate Middleton's hairdressers, Richard Ward, dinner at the Marcus Wareings' newly opened restaurant, The Gilbert Scott and exclusive use of a seven roomed medieval castle. The hottest lot being bid for on the night was the signed guitar by Kelly Jones and his Stereophonics band members, which went for a grand £3,000!

The evening which was very kindly sponsored by Savills Estate Agents helped to raise a staggering £24,000. These funds will be used to continue supporting 100 children's education in Thomas's Fulham's village of Ghanpokhara for another four years.
Thank you to everybody who helped to make this evening such a resounding success.
